Rwanda- Kilimbi Honey

For the second year in a row, we're excited to offer coffee processed at the Kilimbi washing station in Rwanda's Nyamasheke district. Built in 2016, Kilimbi sits along the shores of Lake Kivu and serves local coffee growers, some of whom deliver their cherries by boat.

Lake Kivu is unique for its potential for limnic eruptions, where gases trapped in the water could create dangerous explosions. This volcanic activity has enriched the soil, giving the coffee its vibrant acidity and bright flavors. It's balanced and shines hot or chilled. We recommend you drink this one black to fully appreciate it's natural sweetness.
